Challenge
Restaurants handled orders across phone, table and online via different systems. Kitchen communication still ran on paper tickets, so missed orders and delays were the norm.
Approach
We brought ordering, tables and kitchen flow into a single tablet app with a dedicated kitchen-display view and WebSocket-based real-time sync. We ran a six-week pilot with twelve restaurants and shipped two rounds of changes based on their feedback.
Result
Average order time dropped by 40% during the pilot. Within eight months of launch the product reached 500+ restaurants, held 99.5% uptime and hit 4.6 on the App Store.
